There’s something magical about the smell of freshly baked cookies wafting through the air. This magic was recently captured at Nong Kra Toom School, where our students embarked on a delightful culinary journey – baking and decorating their own cookies.
The two-part lesson started with a hands-on experience in mixing, kneading, and baking cookies. This wasn't just a fun activity, but also a great learning opportunity. It taught students about measurements, following instructions, and the importance of teamwork. The joy and satisfaction on their faces as they watched their creations come out of the oven were priceless.
Part two of the lesson was all about creativity and patience. Students got to decorate cookies with colorful icing, sprinkles, and lots of imagination. This activity allowed them to express their individual creativity while also learning about precision and the value of a job well done. The result? A batch of beautifully decorated cookies that were almost too pretty to eat.
These sessions were more than just about baking. They were about teaching practical life skills, fostering creativity, and promoting teamwork. And of course, they were about the sheer joy of creating (and eating!) something delicious.
