As the holiday season fills hearts with joy and gratitude, we're thrilled to share some truly heartwarming news. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our wonderful donors, we have proudly purchased and delivered 40 brand new computers to our primary schools in the Hua Hin area!

These state-of-the-art machines represent far more than just technology — they open the door to a world of knowledge, creativity, and endless possibilities for the children we serve.

Here are some  glimpses of what our computer labs can look like in schools, engaging spaces ready to inspire young minds!

Imagine the smiles of our young students as they sit down at these new computers for the first time — exploring educational programs, learning digital skills, conducting research, and connecting with the wider world.

In rural schools where resources have historically been limited, this gift is truly transformative. Our children now have the tools to learn, innovate, and dream bigger. Digital literacy is no longer a distant luxury; it's becoming an everyday opportunity that will help prepare them for a brighter future.

We're especially grateful because these computers build on our ongoing commitment to educational technology. Over the years, we've upgraded computer classrooms, launched skills programs, and worked to make technology an integral part of learning in our five schools. And none of this would be possible without YOU — our amazing donors. Your support during this festive season has brought light, hope, and real opportunity to hundreds of children.

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with immense gratitude and pride at what we've achieved at the Bright Dawn Foundation.

Throughout 2024, our mission remained the same - to transform lives through education, healthcare, and social welfare. We've had incredible successes and have seen firsthand the transformative power of education in the five government primary schools we support in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province of Thailand.

We've put together a short video to showcase some of our highlights from this past year. This video takes you on a journey through our various initiatives, from our successful English Day event at Navy Phirom, our enriching collaborative learning experience with the HHIS at our Nong Kra Toom school, to our constant efforts in strengthening healthcare and social connections for our students.

The schools recently had an amazing day trip to Silipakorn University, where students had the opportunity to learn all about agriculture and explore the endless possibilities for their future careers.

It was an Inspiration Day filled with excitement and knowledge, and the students were absolutely buzzing with enthusiasm as they discovered new interests and passions. 

Silpakorn University Agricultural Department recently extended their expertise and support to Nong Kra Toom School, assisting them in installing a solar cell system for watering their gardens. This initiative showcases the commitment of Silpakorn University to community development and sustainability, as they find a low-cost solution to aid the school's market garden. With this project, the university not only enhances the educational experience of the students but also promotes environmental consciousness within the community.

The market garden at Nong Kra Toom School serves as an essential learning space for students, nurturing their understanding of agriculture, ecology, and sustainable practices. By engaging in hands-on activities, the students develop valuable skills that can be applied in their future endeavors. However, the lack of a reliable water supply posed a significant challenge to the development and maintenance of the garden, hindering its potential for growth.

Recognizing the potential impact of a reliable water supply on the agricultural activities at Nong Kra Toom School, Silpakorn University Agricultural Department stepped in to offer their expertise. With their extensive knowledge in renewable energy and sustainable solutions, the university team designed and implemented a solar cell system that effectively addressed the water scarcity issue.

The installation of the solar cell system by Silpakorn University Agricultural Department at Nong Kra Toom School is a remarkable example of how academic expertise and community collaboration can create positive change. By enabling the school's market garden to thrive through a low-cost, sustainable solution, Silpakorn University not only enhances the educational experience of the students but also fosters environmental consciousness within the community. This inspiring initiative serves as a reminder of the power of partnerships in achieving sustainable development goals and creating a brighter future for all.

As part of our creative club, Cathrine, a regular visitor from Sweden taught the children how to make friendship bracelets.

The children quickly picked up the idea and started by drawing designs for their bracelets. As you can see from some of the finished bracelets we have a few budding designers amongst us.

As part of our healthcare initiative, we have renovated the toilets at all of our schools. We are pleased to say that they are all now in working order, brightly painted and tiled, making them easier to keep clean and hygienic.

As part of our health care program we encourage sports at all our schools. At our initiative regular physical education classes are now conducted at all our schools.

Our major social event for children, teachers and parents is the Bright Dawn Sports Day where all five schools compete together. This event has proven to be very popular with the local community.

We have built a covered outdoor recreation area where the kids could play in bad weather at Nong Kra Toom school. The building will have other uses for parent/teacher events and a pick-up venue for kids after school.
