We were honoured to join Nong Kra Toom School’s opening ceremony for their new classroom building—a wonderful step forward for students and teachers alike.

This new space includes 3 dedicated rooms:

• Library
• Science Lab
• English Lab

These facilities will create more opportunities for reading, experimenting, and building language skills—helping students learn with confidence in an environment designed to support their growth.

This week, the Bright Dawn Foundation team visited all 5 of our schools to talk with directors about the importance of proper computer use.

There were some great discussions and presentations as we encouraged the use of technology in ways that support the childrens education.

We focused on key messages like:

• Using computers for learning and skill-building
• Staying safe online and protecting personal information
• Taking care of school equipment so everyone can benefit

Thank you to the directors and teachers at each school for welcoming us and engaging so thoughtfully. Together, we’re helping children build the digital habits they need for a brighter future. 

Learning sticks best when it feels like play—and that’s exactly what our English/Thai cartoon books are made for. Each book pairs bright, kid-friendly illustrations with simple bilingual text, helping young readers build vocabulary in both languages while enjoying stories they can relate to. Because the language is practical and repeated naturally throughout the story, children gain confidence step by step—whether they’re reading with a parent, following along in class, or practicing on their own.

What makes these books extra special is that they teach more than words. Our characters explore everyday health and education topics in ways children understand, from dental care and healthy food choices, exercise, Learning English and emotional wellbeing. The goal is to support early literacy and real-life habits at the same time—so kids aren’t just learning English and Thai, they’re learning how to take care of themselves and make positive choices every day.

As the holiday season fills hearts with joy and gratitude, we're thrilled to share some truly heartwarming news. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our wonderful donors, we have proudly purchased and delivered 40 brand new computers to our primary schools in the Hua Hin area!

These state-of-the-art machines represent far more than just technology — they open the door to a world of knowledge, creativity, and endless possibilities for the children we serve.

Here are some  glimpses of what our computer labs can look like in schools, engaging spaces ready to inspire young minds!

Imagine the smiles of our young students as they sit down at these new computers for the first time — exploring educational programs, learning digital skills, conducting research, and connecting with the wider world.

In rural schools where resources have historically been limited, this gift is truly transformative. Our children now have the tools to learn, innovate, and dream bigger. Digital literacy is no longer a distant luxury; it's becoming an everyday opportunity that will help prepare them for a brighter future.

We're especially grateful because these computers build on our ongoing commitment to educational technology. Over the years, we've upgraded computer classrooms, launched skills programs, and worked to make technology an integral part of learning in our five schools. We recently held a successful English Day Camp at the charming Chom Kluen Hotel. This fun-filled day saw a sea of 170 eager learners diving head-first into the world of English, their excitement and curiosity lighting up the hotel premises.

The camp was made possible by the dedicated efforts of over 60 volunteers - the real heroes of the day. Their unwavering commitment ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for all the attendees, creating an environment conducive to both learning and fun.

The day was filled with a multitude of activities, each meticulously planned and executed to promote interactive learning. From vocabulary games and storytelling sessions to group activities, every activity was designed to foster a love for the English language and enhance the students’ proficiency in it.

The enthusiasm of the students was infectious. Their eagerness to learn and participate, their unwavering focus, and their joy in mastering new concepts were truly heartening to witness.

The volunteers, with their infectious energy and dedication, played a crucial role in the success of the day. They were always ready to lend a helping hand, patiently guiding the students and ensuring everyone was involved. Despite the demanding schedule, they never once lost their smiles, making the experience all the more enjoyable for the students.

Amidst the laughter, learning, and camaraderie, the day came to an end too quickly. However, the memories made and the lessons learnt will be etched in our hearts forever. The success of this English Day Camp has further reinforced our commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for all.

We look forward to organizing many such events in the future that bring together enthusiastic learners and dedicated volunteers in a celebration of education and community spirit.
